AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with the 0. M. Wilbur Construction Company
for the construction of certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore
designated as Engineering Job 474, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to
pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of Bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas, of the proposal of the

0. M. Wilbur Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" as submitted
to the Board of Commissioners on November 7, 1966, which is hereby found to be the lowest
and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said
City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on November 14, 1966,

for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit:
Four Inch concrete, property line, sidewalk on the following property:

1. South side of Claremont Drive, from the East curb line of Queens Road to
the East line of Lot 20, Block 3, Claremont Heights Addition.
2. West side of Front Street, from the South line of Ash Street approximately
120 feet in Lot 14, Atherton and Phillips Addition.
3. South side of Franklin Street, from the West line of Ninth Street West
102 feet of Lot 1, Block 6, Fairview Addition.
4. West side of Ninth Street; the South 50 feet of Lot 4, on Ninth Street
in Phillips Addition.
5. West side of Ninth Street; the South 50 feet of Lot 5, on Ninth Street
in Phillips Addition.
at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and
contract are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby
ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements

as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City Clerk,
which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the

plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the Office of
the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms
of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance.
j Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City clerk
be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by
law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $1,173.51 for such work, such
notes to bear interest at not to exceed 5
� per cent per annum and to mature not later than
December 1, 1967,and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as may the money for
the payment of the cost of such work be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor
and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in li u

Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
