7045 Utility ImprovementsCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 7045 (Published in The Salina Journal �rt �1 �,) 1 68) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with Lucas Plumbing C�mpany for the construction of certain improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, an providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansa , of the proposal of Lucas Plumbing Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor" aslsubmitted to the Board of Commissioners on March 11, 1968, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commission e'rs of the City of Salina, to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on March 18, 1968, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Sallllina, Kansas, to -wit: Sanitary sewer main to serve the area described as follows: All of Lots 8, 9, 10, and 11, the north 125 feet of the east 1/2 of Lot 3, he north 125 feet of Lot 4, and the north 276.0 feet of Lots 6 and 7, all in Plat of White Acres and Lots 1 and 16 in Idlewild Addition all in Se tion 7, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the 6th P.M., Saline County, Kansas. Water Main to serve Lots 8, 9, 10, and 11, the north 125 feet of the east 1/2 of Lot 3, and the north 125 feet of Lot 4 all in Plat of White Acres, all in Section 7, Township 14 South, Range 2, West of the 6th P.M.,'',Saline County, Kansas. at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, whj contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be a� ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the Of� which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinan� Section 2. Said improvements shall,be built and constructed) plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on fil� ch proposal and id the same is hereby )f such improvements -ice of the City Clerk, ,e. in accordance with the in the Office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor andI�nder the terms of sai contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attest by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law the total amount thereof not to exceed the amount of $44,333.50, for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 5 per cent per annum and to mature not (later than December 1, 19 and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cos of such notes being issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in fullforce from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
