AN ORDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of
constructing certain sidewalks in the parking abutting the following property, to -wit:
1. Both sides of Willis Avenue from the east line of Haskett
Avenue to the west line of Hageman Avenue. Adjacent to'Lots
6, 7, 9, 10, Block 2, Lamer's 1st Sub -division, andadj cent
to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 3, Lamer's 2nd Sub -division
City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
2. On the west side of Front Street from Bond Street to Ret ublic
Avenue adjacent to Lots 17 and 18, Block 2; Lots 17 and 18,
Block 4; Lots 17 and 18, Block 6, College View Addition and
adjacent to Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, Bl�ck 6,
of Hutchinson's Addition and adjacent to Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10,
and 12, Block 7, Sunnyside Addition.
3. On the north side of Wilson Street from Fifth Street to'IFront
Street adjacent to Lot 1, Block 18, Hutchinson's Addition,
and adjacent to Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, Bl�ck 5,
College View Addition and adjacent to Lots 2, 4, 6, 89 0,
12, 14, 16, 18, Block 6, College View Addition.
4. On the north side of Republic Avenue from Fifth Street to
Third Street adjacent to Lot 1, Block 3, Sunnyside Addition
and adjacent to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, in the Repla# of
Blocks 4 and 5, Sunnyside Addition, and adjacent to Lots 1
and 2, Block 7, Sunnyside Addition.
5. On the west side of Third Street from Lamar Street to Republic
Avenue, adjacent to Lot 5, Block 3, Hutchinson's Addition and
adjacent to Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, in the Replat of Blocks
4 and 5, Sunnyside Addition.
6. On the west side of Third Street and the south side of Mulberry
Street adjacent to Lot 170 on Third Street in the Original Townsite.
7. On the south side of Kirwin Avenue and adjacent to Lots 31 and 33,
Kirwin Avenue, Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University Addition.

notified the owners of the property
of said sidewalks to be constructed
precedent to the construction of sa
WHEREAS, the owners of the property
five days, as required by Resolution
constructed and the City caused said
Chapter 12, Article 18, and the cost
have, by Resolution Numbers 2910 and 2913 caused to be
hereinafter described to cause their respective portion
at their own expense and have fulfilled all conditions
d sidewalks,
hereinafter described did not within thirty days, and
Numbers 2910 and 2913 cause said sidewalks to be
sidewalks to be constructed pursuant to K. S. A.
thereof has been ascertained,
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has determined that the total cost of such improvements
is Ten Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-four and 54/100 Dollars ($10,724.4) and that 72.84
percent in the amount of $7,812.67 thereof be assessed against the improvement district and
27.15 percent in the amount of $2,911.87 be paid by the City at Large,l,and SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against the
lots hereinafter described, an assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing
said sidewalks, taxable against the following described lots in the amount set opposite
said lots:

Section 2, That the owner or owners of the property above d�scribed shall have
thirty (30) days after the publication of this ordinance within which to make full payment.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is directed to mail a noticelnot less than fifteen
days prior to the end of the thirty (30) days to the owners of the property as shown on the
records of the Office of the Register of Deeds.
Section 4. That if full payment of the assessment made in Section 1 of this
ordinance is not made within thirty days after the publication of this ordinance, the City
Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to certify said assessments to the County Clerk of
Saline County, Kansas to be placed on the tax roll for collection, in �ive installments,
starting with the year 1968, and subject to the same penalties and collected in like manner
as other taxes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
