ORDINANCE NO. 7031
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY,OF SALINA,
KANSAS, IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A.I1967 Supp.
12-520.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described land,,to-wit:
Tract One: A tract of ground in the Southwest'Quarter (SW/4)
of the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section Thirty -Six (36)
Township Thirteen South (T.13S) Range Three West (R.3W) and a
tract of ground in the Northwest Quarter (NW/4) of Section
One (1), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Rang Three West
(R.3W) described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center of oldDry Creek
Channel, which point is Three Hundred Sixteen �eet more or
less (316'±) North and Two Hundred Sixty Feet more or less
(260'±) East of the Southwest corner of the No#thwest Quarter
(NW/4) of Section One (1), Township Fourteen S uth (T.14S),
Range Three West (R.3W), being on the present ity Limit line,
thence East along the present City Limit line, also being
the North line of College Court Addition, to alpoint on the
North and South center line of the Northwest Quarter (NW/4)
of said Section One (1) and the center line of 'Fifth Street
Road, thence North following the East lines of the Northwest
Quarter (NW/4) of the Northwest Quarter (N/of Section
One (1), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Rang Three West
(R.3W) and the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of theSouthwest
Quarter (SW/4) of Section Thirty-six (36), Tow ship Thirteen
South (T.13S), Range Three West (R.3W) Three Thousand Five
Hundred Thirty Feet more or less (3530'±), bei g the center
line of Mulberry Creek and the present City Li it line, thence
following the center line of Mulberry Creek in a Southwesterly
direction to a point which is Sixty Feet more r less (60'±)
West of the East line of the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of
the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section Thirty six (36),
Township Thirteen South (T.13S), Range Three W st (R.3W) of
the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence West along' the present
City Limit line to a point Eight Hundred Seventy Feet more
or less (870'±), thence South also being present City Limit
line Seven Hundred Twenty Feet more or less (720'±), thence
West Ninety Feet (90'), thence South Three Hundred Ten Feet
(310'), thence East Ninety Feet (90'), thence South One
Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Feet more or less (1',660'±) to the
center of old Dry Creek Channel, thence followiing center line
of Dry Creek in a Southwesterly direction to the point of
beginning.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexlation prescribed
by K.S.A. 1967 Supp. 12-520, is hereby annexed and mGade a part of
the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect anld be in force
from and after its publication in th.e official city newspaper.
