AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITYIOF SALINA,
KANSAS, IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 1,1967 Supp.
12-520.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described land,', to wit:
Tract One: A tract of unplatted ground lying East of the
West line of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section Seven
(7), Township Fourteen South (T 14S), Range Two Wes (R 2W) of
the Sixth Principal Meridian and South of the South right-of-
way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad North of forth Street,
East of White Acres Plat, all of White Acres Plat which includes
Idlewilde Gardens, and Tract #6 of Thomas White Farm in the
Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4)
of Section Seven (7), Township Fourteen South (T 14S),, Range
Two West (R 2W), South of the North right-of-way line of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad and North of North Street and a tract
of ground Two Hundred Feet (2001) South of the South line of
North Street along the North line of the Southwest Quarter
(SW 1/4) and the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of. Section Seven
(7), Township Fourteen South (T 14S), Range Two Wes. (R 2W) of
the Sixth Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at a point which is Five Hundred Sixty Feet more
or less (5601) North and Two Hundred Thirty-nine Feet (239')
East of the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4)
of Section Seven (7), being on the South right -of -Way line of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad, thence Northeasterly following the
South line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad right -o -way to a
point on a line extended South on the East line of. Lot One (1)
Block One (1) of Cloverdale Addition, thence North crossing the
Missouri Pacific Railroad to a point on the North right-of-way
line of said railroad, thence northeasterly and East: following
the North right-of-way line of said railroad to a point on said
line which is also the East line of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Seven 7), thence
South following the East line of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) crossing North Street to a
point Two Hundred Feet (2001) South of the South lire of North
Street, thence West on said line to the East line of Lakewood
Park, thence continuing East and following the Nortl line of
said Park to the West line of said Park, thence North to the
North line of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section Seven
(7), thence East on said section line to a point T o Hundred
Thirty-nine Feet (239') East of the Northwest (NW)orner of
said Quarter Section, thence North to the point of eginning,
containing Ninety-seven and Seven -tenths (97.7) ac s, more or
less.
Tract Two: A tract of land in the West Half. (4/2) of the
Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section Seven (7), Town hip Fourteen
South (T 14S), Range Two West (R 2W), of the Sixth rincipal
Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at a point Two Hundred Thirty-nine F et (2391) East
of the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter (S' 1/4) of Sec-
tion Seven (7), thence East and following the North ',line of said
quarter; to a point Nine Hundred Sixty and Three on -hundredths
Feet (960.031) thence South crossing North Street_

ing the West property line of Lakewood Park a distance of Seven
Hundred Seventy-one and Twenty-five One -hundredths �eet more or
less (771.251); thence West Ten Feet (101), thence outh parallel

with Ohio Street a distance of Three hundred Fifty-five Feet more
or less (3551) to a point at the edge of timber; thence in a South-
westerly, Southerly and Easterly direction on a mea dering line
approximately Eight Feet (81) outside of timber lin to a point
which is One Thousand One Hundred Fifty-seven and N nety-three One -
hundredths Feet (1157.931) East of the center line f Ohio Street
and approximately One Thousand Four Hundred Feet (1 001) North of
the center line of the Smoky dill River; thence So th on a line
parallel with the center line of Ohio Street to sai center line
of the Smoky Hill River; thence Northwesterly along the center line
of the Smoky Hill River to a point which is Two Hunred Thirty-nine
Feet (2391) due Fast of center line of Ohio Street Ind One Thousand
Four hundred Eighty-five Feet more cr less (14851) South of the
Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section Seven
(7), Township Fourteen South (T 14S), Range Two Wes (R 2W) of
the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence North on a lin which is Two
Hundred Thirty-nine Feet (2391) East and parallel with the center
line of Ohio Street to the point of beginning, containing Forty-
eight (48) acres, more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed
by K.S.A. 1967 Supp. 12-520, is hereby annexed and made a part of
the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That upon the recommendation of the Salina City
Planning Commission Tract Number One of the above d scribed land
shall be classified as District "G" (Heavy Industrial District)
and so designated on the Zoning District Map of thelCity of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect acid be in force
from and after its publication in the official citylnewspaper.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the C ty of Salina,
