7024 Taxicab LicensesCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 1 (First Published in The Salina Journal Decem b,,, f t, 1967) ORDINANCE NUMBER 7024 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXPIRATION AND RENEWAL OF TAXICAB DRIVERS LICENSES AND THE PROCEDURE FOR RENEWAL THEREOF, AND THE FEE THEREFOR,, AMENDING SEC. 34-96 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING SAID ORIGINAL SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS: Section 1. That Sec. 34-96 of The Salina Code is hereby amended to read as i follows: Sec. 34-96. Expiration, Renewal of licenses. All drivers licenses shall expire on the last day of December of each year. Prior to the expiration of any such license, the driver I may file an application for renewal and may obtain a new license upon the payment of a fee of Five Dollars ($5.00), if such rene Ial application is filed on or before December twentieth of the year in which the existing license expires, and in such event, no new license applications shall be required; Provided, that before any renewal license is issued, the applicant must secure the approval of the Chief of Police in the same manner and ;'upon the same requirements as are provided for in Sec. 34-90 to ,34-93 hereof, and new photographs shall be furnished, if, in the opinion of the Chief of Police, they are necessary for proper identification. Section 2. Section 34-96 of The Salina Code is hereby repelaled. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its I adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
