ORDINANCE NO. 7020
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS, IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 1967 Supp.
12-520.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described land, to wit:
Tract One: A tract of land located in the South-
west Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section Six (6), Township
Fourteen South (T.14S.), Range Two West (R.2W.), being
part of Tract Thirteen (13) and Twenty-two (22) of
Golden Acres Plat and part of unplatted ground in the
Southeast corner of said Quarter Section described as
follows:
Beginning at a point Two Hundred Feet (20011) East
of Section corner common to Sections One (1), Six (6),
Twelve (12) and Seven (7), thence East on South line of
Section Six (6) to a point Three Hundred and Thirty
Feet (3301) West of the Southeast corner of the South-
west Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section Six (6), Township Four-
teen South (T.14S.), Range Two West (R.2W); thence North
Two Hundred Feet ( 200') ; thence West and parallel with
the South line of Section Six (6) to a point Two Hund-
red Feet (2001) East of the West line of Section Six
(6); thence South Two Hundred Feet (2001) to point of
beginning,
Tract Two: All of that part of the Northwest Quar-
ter (NW 1/4) of Section Seven (7), Township Fourteen
South (T.14S.), Range Two West (R.2W.) which contains
Tract Fourteen (14) of Golden Acres Plat, and a tract
of ground lying East of the West line of said Quarter
Section and South of the Union Pacific Railroad and
North of the Chicago Rock Island Railroad; all of that
ground platted as Cloverdale Addition, Cloverdale Annex
and Fairway Addition; a tract of unplatted ground east
of the West line of said Quarter Section and South of
the South line of Fairway Addition and North of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad North right-of-way line; all
of the above described land except that part now in-
cluded in the corporate limits of the City of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas, described as follows:
Beginning at a point Two Hundred Feet (2001) East
of the Northwest corner of Section Seven (7), Township
Fourteen South (T.14S.), Range Two West (8.2W.) of the
Sixth Principal Meridian, thence East on the North line
of said Quarter Section One Thousand Nine Hundred and
Sixty-five Feet (19651) more: or less to the East proper-
ty line of Lot One (1) of Block Two (2)9 Cloverdale
Addition, thence South along said loft line Eight Hundred
and Forty-nine and Six -tenths Feet (849.61) more or less
to the Southeast corner of Lot One (1) Block Two (2)
Cloverdale Addition, thence Southeasterly crossing
Woodland Avenue as platted, to the Northeast corner of
Lot One (1) Block One (1) of Cloverdale Addition, thence
South along said lot line Four Hundred and Thirty-five
and Six -tenths Feet (435.61) more or less to the' South-
east corner of said Lot One (1) Block One (1) Cloverdale
Addition also the North righ11-cf-wav line of theMissouri
Pacific Railroad, thence South on the East line of Lot

Pacific Railroad to the South right-of-way line of said
Railroad, thence Southwesterly along South right-of-way
line of said railroad to a point Two Hundred and Thirty-
nine Feet (2391) more or less East of the West line of
said Quarter Section, thence North crossing Vats Horn--
Street

Three (3) of Fairway Addition to the Northeast corner
of said lot, thence East to the Southeast corner of Lot
Fourteen (14) of Cloverdale Annex, thence North along
the back lin of Lots Fourteen (14), Fifteen (15) and
Sixteen (16) of Cloverdale Annex to the South line of
Prospect Avenue as platted, thence East on the South
line of Prespect Avenue to a point of a line projected
South of the back line of Lots Twenty (20), Twenty-one
(21) and Twenty-two (22) in Block One (1) of Cloverdale
Addition, thence North following the back line of Lots
Twenty (20), Twenty-one (21) and Twenty-two (22) of
said addition to the South line of Woodland Avenue as
platted, thence Northwesterly crossing Woodland Avenue
and the Chicago Rock Island Railroad to a point on the
North right-of-way line of said railroad which is Two
Hundred F,et (200') East of the ",Jest line of Northwest
Quarter (144 1/4) of Section Seven (7), Thence North to
point of ueginning.
Tract Three: 'Fastborough Addition located in the
Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Eight (8) and
North and South Road right-of-way both sides of West
line of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Eight
(8), Township Fourteen South (T.14S.), Range Two West
(R.21J.), Described as follows:
Beginning at a point Thirty Feet (30') West of the
Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of
Section Eight (8) being on the center line of Country
Club Road, thence North and parallel to the North and
70uth center line of Section Eight (8) a distance of
Two Thousand One Hundred and Twenty-four and Seven -
tenths Feet (2124.71) more or less, thence East crossing
the West line of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Sec-
tion Eight (8) a distance of Two Hundred and Sixty and
Seven -tenths Feet (260.71) to the :Northeast corner of
Lot Ten (1) of Eastborough Addition, thence South Two
Thousand One Hundred and Twenty-four and Seven -tenths
Feet (2124.71) more or less to the South line of said
Quarter Section, thence West on said Section line Two
Hundred Sixty and Seven -tenths Feet (260.71) more or less
to the point of beginning.
Tract Four: All of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Eighteen
(18) East of the Smoky Hill River, Township Fourteen
South (T.14S.) , Range Two blest (R.2W. ) and the 'North
Two Hundred Feet (2001) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4)
of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Nineteen
(19), Township Fourteen South (T.14S.) Range Two West
(R.2W.) of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline
County, Kansas.
Tract Five: A tract of unplatted ground in the
Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Twelve (12),
Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Three West (R.3W)
of the Sixth Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the North-
east Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Twelve (12), being the
center line of Pacific and Front Streets, thence East
to a point Two Hundred Feet (2001) West of the North-
east corner of said Section Twelve (12), thence South
and parallel to the East line of said section to a
point on the South right-of-way line of the Union Pacific

Railroad, thence Southwesterly following the South
right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad to a
point on the West line of said Quarter Section and
South right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad,
thence North on the 'nest quarter section line of said
quarter to the point of beginning.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation pre-
scribed by K.S.A. 1967 Supp. 12-520 is hereby annexed and made a
part of the City of Salina.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city newspaper.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas, and approved by the Mayor this 20th day of November,
1967.
