7019 AnnexationCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 ORDINANCE NO.Q AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 1967 Supp. 12-520. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CI`T'Y OF SALINA, KANSAS: Section 1. That the following described land to -wit: Tract One: The East Half of the Northwest Quarter (E/2 NW/4) and the West Half of the Northeast Quarter (W/2NE/4) of Section Twenty (20), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline County, Kansas. Tract Two: The West Half of the Southeast Quarter (W/2 SE/4) of Section Twenty (20), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W) of the Sixth Principal Mer- idian, in Saline County, Kansas. Tract Three: A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NW/4 NE/4) of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline County, Kansas, de- scribed as follows: Beginning at a point on the line common to Sections Twenty (20) and Twenty-nine (29), Township Fou teen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, to which has been assigned a bearing of due East, Four Hundred Twenty-one ,,feet (421') East of the 1/4 corner common to Sections Twenty (20) and Twenty-nine(29); thence South 00-25' West One Thousand Five Hundred Feet (1,500'); thence due East One Thousand Feet (1,000'); thence North 00-25' East One Thousand. Five Hundred Feet (1,500') to the section line; thence due West along section line One Thousand Feet (1,000') to thelpoint of beginning, containing 34.4 acres more or less. Tract Four: The East Six Hundred Ten Feet (610') of the Northwest Quarter (NW/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W), north of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, and that portion of the Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W), west of the center line of the Smoky Hill River and North of the north right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; and A tract of land in the West Half of the Northeast Quarter (W/2 NE/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen South (T.14S) Range Two West (R.2W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the West line of the Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of said Section Eight (8), said point being on the south right- of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, thence South along said line a distance of Five Hundred Eighty-eight and seven -tenths Feet (588.7'), thence Northeasterly to a point Three Hundred Thirty Feet (330') South of and Two Hundred Twenty-eight and Eight -tenths Feet (228.8') East of the place of beginning, thence Northeasterly to a point on the south right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Three Hun- dred Seventy and Two-tenths Feet (370.2') East of the place of beginning, thence West Three Hundred Sevent and Two-tenths Feet (370.21) West to the place of beginning c ntaining Two and Nine -tenths (2.9) acres more or less. And a tract of CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA 1 1 land in the West Half of the Northeast Quarter (W/2 NE/4) of said Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter (W/2 NE/4) of said Section Eight (8), thence East to the Northeast corner of the West Half of said Northeast Quarter (W/2 NE/4), thence South on the East property line a distance of One Hundred Thirty-nine Feet (139'), thence Southwesterly to a point Three Hundred Sixty Feet (360') South of, and Three Hundred Sixty-one Feet (361') West of the North- east corner of said West Half of the Northeast Quarter (W/2 NE/4) of Section Eight (8), thence Southwesterly to a point Seven Hundred Twenty-five Feet (725') South of and Six Hundred Ninety- three Feet (693') West of the Northeast corner of said property, thence Southwesterly to a point on the north right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad, thence West on the north line of said Missouri Pacific Railroad to the center of the Smoky Hill River, thence Northwesterly along the center of the Smoky Hill River to the West property line, thence North on the West property line to the place of beginning, containing Twenty- two and Four -tenths (22.4) acres, more or less. Tract Five: Beginning at a point which is One Thousand One Hundred Ninety-nine and Three One -hundredths Feet (1199.03') East and Fifteen Feet (15') South of the West Quarter corner of Section Seven (7), Township Fourteen South (T.14S), Range Two West (R.2W) of the Sixth Principal Meridian to a point which is Twenty Feet (20') North of the South right-of-way line of North Street; thence South Twenty Feet (20') to the South right-of-way line of North Street; thence South a distance of Seven Hundred Thirty-six and Twenty-five One-hiind.redths Feet (736.25'); thence West a distance of Ten Feet (10'), thence South parallel with Ohio Street a distance of Three Hundred Fifty- five Feet (355') more or less, to a point at the edge of timber; thence in a Southwesterly, Southerly and Easterly direction on a meandering line approximately Eight Feet (8') outside of timber line to a point which is One Thousand One Hundred Fifty-seven and Ninety-three One -hundredths Feet (1157.93') East of the center line of Ohio Street and approx- imately One Thousand Four Hundred Feet (1400') North of the center line of the Smoky Hill River; thence South on a line parallel with the center line of Ohio Street to said center line of the Smoky Hill River; thence down the river in a Northeasterly direction following its meandering center line to a point which is approximately Four Hundred and Thirty Feet (430') South of center line of North Street; thence North a distance of Four Hundred Thirty Feet (430') to the center line of North Street; thence sighting back and turning a counter -clockwise angle of 920 - 39' - 05" and proceeding along the center line of North.Street a distance of Seven Hundred Eighty-two and Sixteen One -hundredths Feet (782.16')_; thence sighting back and turning a counter -clockwise angle of 1770 04' - 38" and proceeding along the center line of North Street a distance of Three Hundred Forty-nine and Twenty- five One -hundredths Feet (349.25')_ to the point of beginning{, all in Saline County, Kansas; and containing Ninety-eight anal Two-tenths (98.2) acres more or less. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 1967 Supp. 12-520 is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina. CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city newspaper.
