ORDINANCE NO. Q
AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO SIDE YARD FENCES AND HEDGES;
REGULATING THE HEIGHT THEREOF; AMENDING SEC. 9-352(2) OF THE
SALINA CODE, AND REPEALING THE SAID ORIGINAL SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS:
Section 1. That Sec. 9-352(2) of the Salina Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 9-352(2). Side yard fences erected back of
the front building line and within the required side
yard of the lot (see zoning ordinance) may be of any
class not over four (4) feet in height to the rear of
the neighboring dwelling, or to the rear of the dwell-
ing located on the same site as the fence,;whichever is
the greater distance from the front property line. Back
of this point such side yard fence may be build to a
height of six (6) feet. The height restriction herein
provided shall not be applicable to plantings of shrubs
and/or trees used as a hedger
Section 2. Sec. 9-352(2) of the Salina Code is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after
its adoption and publication in the official city paper.
Adopted by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and approved by the Mayor this day of November 1967.
