A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF ZONING
APPEALS, CITY PLANNING COMMISSION, CONVENTION AND TOURISM
COMMITTEE, DISCIPLINARY ADVISORY BOARD, HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF SALINA, HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION, PARKS AND
RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD, AND SALINA ARTS AND HUMANITIES
COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has established through Resolution
Number 88-4016, amended by Resolution Number 90-4160, a policy regarding
appointments and administration of the citizen boards system; and
WHEREAS, Section 2(c) of Resolution Number 88-4016 calls for
appointments to be made by Resolution submitted by the Mayor to the full City
Commission for final approval; and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on certain citizens boards,
commissions and committees; SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. The following persons, as proposed by the Mayor of the
City of Salina, are hereby appointed to the designated citizen boards for the
term indicated:
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
June Treffer, reappointed for a 3 year term to
August 31, 1997.
Rosalie N. Leek, appointed to succeed Michael Haug
for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
Charles W. Weathers, appointed to fill the unexpired
term of E. Clark Garnett to August 31, 1995.
Elizabeth A. Duckers, reappointed for a 3 year term
to August 31, 1997.
Michael F. Blevins, appointed to succeed Donald E.
Morris for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
William R. Umphrey, appointed to succeed Kristen M.
Seaton for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
CONVENTION AND TOURISM COMMITTEE
Mark Ritter, reappointed for a 4 year term to
August 31, 1998.
Robert L. Harvey, appointed to succeed William E.
Weis for a 4 year term to August 31, 1998.
DISCIPLINARY ADVISORY BOARD
Joni Heim, appointed to succeed Billy R. Booe for a 3
year term to August 31, 1997.
Fedelis R. Staab, appointed to succeed Krista M.
Serrien for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
Deborah Treadway -Friedman, appointed to succeed
Howard Williams for a 3 year term to August 31,
1997.
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SALINA
James R. Lee, appointed to succeed Shirley A. Jones
for a 4 year term to August 31, 1998.
HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
Ronald Schwien, appointed to fill the unexpired
term of Donna S. Macey to August 31, 1996.
Alan B. Fitzgerald, appointed to succeed C. L.
Engebritson for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
Elizabeth A. Bonilla, appointed to succeed J. Q.
Rodriquez for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
Susan A. Jednoralski, appointed to succeed Cynthia
Adcock for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
Jeff Gillam, reappointed for a 4 year term to
August 31, 1998.
SALINA ARTS AND HUMANITIES COMMISSION
Jack Henry, extended for 2 years to fulfill a 3 year
term to August 31, 1996.
Jane Alsop, appointed to succeed Sarabeth Geis for a
3 year term to August 31, 1997.
Randal J. Graham, appointed to succeed Edwin (Ned)
Rose for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
Ann Rollins, reappointed for a 3 year term to August
31, 1997.
Connie Burket, appointed to fill a newly created
position for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
William E. Mowery, appointed to fill a newly created
position for a 3 year term to August 31, 1997.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect'.
