A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONSENT ORDER AND SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
SALINA, KANSAS AND THE KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND
ENVIRONMENT PERTAINING TO GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION IN THE
CENTRAL PART OF SALINA .
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the
document entitled "Consent Order and Settlement Agreement for Remedial
Investigation and Feasibility Study, and for Certain Remedial Actions", between
the City of Salina and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in a
final form that meets the approval of the City Manager and City Attorney, and
which narratively describes and includes as Exhibit Two a map depicting the
boundaries of the Salina Public Water Supply Site consistent with the June 1993
KDHE Expended Site Inspection Site Location Map.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this
24th day of October, 1994.
