A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY PARTICIPATION IN SALINE
COUNTY'S SCHILLING ROAD DRAINAGE PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $297,219.
WHEREAS, south Salina has suffered flood damage numerous times, most recently
in 1993-, and
WHEREAS, citizens and property in south Salina remain in danger of flooding;
and
WHEREAS, conditions favorable to flooding may be alleviated by improvements
along Schilling Road, and
WHEREAS, Saline County, Kansas is in the process of submitting a grant to the
State of Kansas for The Schilling Road Drainage ProJ'ect (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the "Project" is desirable to the citizens of the City_ of Salina; SO
NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the City of Salina will participate in the local share of the "Project"
in an amount not to exceed $297,219.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to cooperate with Saline County in
all matters dealing with administration of the "Project".
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners and signed by the Mayor this 24t' day of
October, 1994.
