ORDINANCE NUMBER 8035

AN ORDINANCE levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of abatement
of nuisances, located at the following property, to -wit:
Lot 16, Block 24, Episcopal Military Institute Addition;
Lot 13, Block 26, Episcopal Military Institute Addition;
Lot 14, Block 48, Military Addition;
South 50 feet of East 43 feet of Lot 5 and South 40 feet
of Lots 6, 7, 8, Block 3, Morrison's Third Addition;
Lot 6 and Lot 7 less the South 50 feet, Block 1, Oakdale Addition;
Lot 17, Replat of Block 5, Oakdale Addition;
Lot 7, Block 4, Phillips East Salina Addition;
WHEREAS, the Health Officer of the City of Salina, Kansas, caused to be notified, the owner
of the property, hereinafter described, to cause such nuisances to be removed.
WHEREAS, the owner of the property hereinafter described, after proper notice, did not remove
such nuisances in accordance with Section 15-3 of The Salina Code, and the cost thereof has
been ascertained, SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against the lots
hereinafter described, an assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of removal of such
nuisances, taxable against the following described lots in the amounts set opposite said lots:
EPISCOPAL MILITARY INSTITUTE ADDITION
Lot 16, Block 24 -----------------------------------$29.00
Lot 13, Block 26 ----------------------------------- 9.00
MILITARY ADDITION
Lot 14, Block 48 ----------------------------------- 7.50
MORRISON'S 3rd ADDITION
South 50 feet of East 43 feet of Lot 5 and

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to certify said
assessments to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed on the tax roll for
collection, in one installment, starting with the year 1969, and subject to the same
penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
