8032 Rural Fire ProtectionCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 8032 (Published in The Salina Journal g 1969) AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE CHARGES TO BE MADE BY THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, FOR PROVIDING FIRE PROTECTION OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That effective September 1, 1969, the annual charge for fire protection furnished by the City of Salina, Kansas, for any property located outside the limits of said City, pursuant to K. S. A. 80-1502, shall be a sum equivalent to 125% of the mill levy required to provide fire protection service within the limits of said City for the year in which the contract is executed or renewed. The mill levy determined on this basis shall be multiplied by the assessed valuation of said property for which fire protection is furnished. Section 2. That the above rate shall be made on the assessed valuation of land, improvements, and personal property listed for tax purposes for the preceding year as shown by the records in the office of the County Clerk. i Section 3. That all fire contracts now in existence shall be changed to reflect i, the above rates and valuation on the anniversary date of said contract. Section 4. That all charges for fire protection shall be payable annually, in advance. Section 5. All fire contracts shall be limited to property located within a one mile limit of the City of Salina City Limits. Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
