AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT ALL BONDS REQUIRED BY STATUTE OR THE SALINA CODE BE
EXECUTED BY A SURETY COMPANY AUTHORIZED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE STATE OF KANSAS: AMENDING
SECTION 2-7 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING SAID ORIGINAL SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS:
Section! 1. That Section 2-7 of The Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows!:
"Sec. 2-7. Bonds of Contractors, licensees, etc. - Surety.
I
All bonds for the use, benefit or protection of the City required
to be taken by the Statutes of the State and by the ordinances of the
City or by Resolution of the Board of Commissioners from any person to
secure the faithful performance of any contract with the City, or to
indemnify the City against loss, damage or liability growing out of
any contract with the City, or out of the issuance of any license or
permit by the City where a bond is required, shall be signed and executed
as surety by some surety company admitted to do business in the State of
Kansas."
Section 2. That Section 2-7 of The Salina Code is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication in the official city paper.
