ORDINANCE NUMBER 8007

AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING CERTAIN LIABILITY INSURANCE PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT FOR A
FIREWORKS DISPLAY; AMENDING SECTION 12-122 OF THE SALINA CODEI,AND REPEALING SAID ORIGINAL
SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 12-122 of The Salina Code hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Sec. 12-122. 'Liability Insurance Requirep for Display.
The permittee for a fireworks display shall file with the City
Clerk a policy of liability insurance issued b some company
authorized to do business in the State of Kansas, which shall
provide liability insurance coverage in an amount of at least
$100,000.00 for the payment of any and all damages which may
be caused either to persons or to property by reason of the
permitted display, and arising from any act of the permittee,
his agents, employers or subcontractors."
Section 2. Section 12-122 of The Salina Code is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force a�d effect from and after its
adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
