AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1968 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE
AMENDING SALINA CODE SEC. 9-179 AND REPEALING SAID ORIGINAL SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Sec. 9-179 of The Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows
''Sec. 9-179. National Electric Code Adopted.
The installation of electrical wiring and apparatus for the
utilization of electric current shall be made in accordance
with the 1968 Edition of the national Electrical Code as published
and sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association, which
is hereby incorporated by reference and adopted as the electrical
code of the City, except as modified by this article.''
Section 2, Sec, 9-179 of The Salina Code is hereby repealed.
Section 3• This ordinance shall be in full, force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication in the offi,ci,ai city newspaper.
