7093 Street ImprovementsCONSOLMATFD-SALIVA 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 7093 (Published in The Salina Journal O Ck&-cam 1968) AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY TO PAVE THAT PORTION OF FOURTH STREET OCCUPIED BY ITS TRACKS BETWEEN CENTER AND PRESCOTT STREETS; PROVIDING THAT IF SAID PAVING IS NOT COMPLETED THAT THE CITY OF SALINA SHALL PERFORM SAID WORK AND ASSESS THE COSTS THEREOF AGAINST THE PROPERTY OF SUCH RAILROAD COMPANY. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the Union Pacific Railroad Company is hereby ordered and directed to pave, in accordance with specifications now on file in the Office of the City Engineer, that portion of the street occupied by its tracks on Fourth Street between Center and Prescott Streets in the City of Salina, Kansas. Section 2. That in the event that the said Union Pacific Railroad Company should fail, neglect or refuse to pave said street within thirty days from the effective date of this ordinance that the City Engineer is hereby directed to proceed to have said work performed and that the cost of such work shall be a lein upon the property of said railroad company and said costs shall be assessed and taxed against its property in the same manner as other taxes are levied. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in the official city paper.
