7078 Levy of TaxesCONSOLIDATED-SALINA ORDINANCE NUMBER 7078 (Published in The Salina Journal ) 1968) AN ORDINANCE making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other purposes by the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1968. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the sum of 31.9000 mills on the dollar be and the same is hereby levied on real, personal and mixed property of whatsoever kind and nature (except intangible property otherwise taxed or assessed according to law) in the City of Salina, Kansas, which is a City of the First Class having a population of less than 50,000 for the year 1968, for the purpose hereafter set forth and apportioned and divided as follows: For General Operating Fund Levy 17.5821 For Noxious Weed Fund 0.0873 For Firemen's Pension Fund 0.3258 For Policemen's Pension Fund 0.3563 For Flood Control Works and Levee 0.3070 For Tree Maintenance 0.2360 For Social Security FICA 0.5373 For Public Employees Retirement 0.3942 Total except for Bond and Interest 19.8260 Bond and Interest 9.9654 Bond and Interest - No Fund Warrants 1.3692 General and Special Improvements 0.7394 TOTAL LEVY 31.9000 Section 2. That the valuation of the property upon which the foregoing taxes are levied and assessed be in all cases taken from the assessment rolls for the present year in the Office of the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, and it shall be the duty of the City Clerk of Salina, Kansas, immediately on and after the passage and taking effect of this ordinance, on or before the 25th day of August, 1968, to transmit a duly certified copy of this ordinance to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, so that the levy of taxes herein provided for may be placed upon the tax rolls and the taxes collected according to law. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
