ORDINANCE NUMBER 8092

AN ORDINANCE LIMITING THE OUTSTANDING BAIL BONDS OF ANY PERSON HOLDING A BONDSMAN
LICENSE UNDER THE PROVISION OF ARTICLE 2 of CHAPTER 29 OF THE SALINA CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City f Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That The Salina Code is hereby amended by adding a new section to be
numbered Section 29-39, which said section shall read as follows:
''Section 29-39. Limitation on Amount of Outstanding
Bail Bonds.
It shall be unlawful for any licensee to execute
and have outstanding at any one time bail bo ds which
exceed: (a) the actual value of the certificate of
deposit, savings accounts or Government Bonds pledged
as security; or (b) seventy-five (75) percent of the
equity value of the real estate pledged as security.
Violation of this provision shall be grounds for
revocation of license.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
