8088 VacationCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 C ORDINANCE NUMBER 8088 (Published in The Salina Journal y,( WC. dW , 1970) AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of certain easements in a tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,I,Kansas: Section 1. That an Easement for Entrance dated M�y 30, 1955, from W. E. Soldner et al, to the Saline County Highway Department, acting for Saline County, Kansas, recorded l in Misc. Book 63, at page 322 in the Office of the Registerpf Deeds of Saline County, and described as follows: Beginning at a point two thousand one hundred' forty and fifty-three hundredths (2,140.53) feet West of the Southeast corner of Section Eighteen (18), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West; thence Northerly two hundred four and ninety-eight hundredths (204.98) feet; thence Westerly one hundred (100.0) feet to a point two hundred four and forty-eight (204.48) feet North of the South line of said Section. Thence Southwesterly one hundred forty- seven and sixty-five hundredths (147.65) feet; thence Southerly seventy-four and thirteen hundredths (74.13) feet; thence East on the Section line approximately one hundred seventy (170.0) feet to point of beginning, containing four tenths (0.4) acres, more or less, exclusive of the existing and proposed right-of- way, all in the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section 18, Township 14 South, Range 2 West, Saline County, Kansas. (This easement was for a private road to a house which is no longer in existence.) be and the same is hereby vacated. Section 2. That an Easement for Right -of -Way on East Crawford dated September 30, 1955, from W. E. Soldner, et al, to Saline County, Kansas, recorded in Misc. Book 63, at page 326 in the Office of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas, and described as follows: Beginning at a point two thousand ninety two land sixty-nine hundredths (2,092.69 feet west of Ithe Southeast corner of Section Eighteen (18), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West; thence northerly seventy-five and twenty-two hundredths (75.22,) feet; thence westerly four hundred forty-seven and eighty -'four hundredths (447.84) feet to a point seventy-two and Ninety-eight hundredths (72.98) feet north of the south lime of said section; thence westerly two hundred thirty six (236.0) feet; thence southwesterly following the meander of the stream eighty-one and ninety-six hundredths (81.96) feet; thence east on the section line approximately seven hundred twelve and eighty-one hundredths (712.81) feet to point of beginning, containing seventy-two hundredths (0.72) acres, more or less, exclusive of the existing right-of-way, all in the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section 181, Township 14 South, Range 2 West, Saline County, Kansas. be and the same is hereby vacated, except for a strip of land 60 feet wide along the South line of the said Southeast Quarter of Section 18 required by the City as a right-of-way easement for East Crawford Road and dedicated to the City by,the Final Plat of Upper Mill Heights Addition No. 2. Book 63, at page 328 in the Office of the Register of Deeds,of Saline County, Kansas, and i described as follows: Beginning at a point nineteen hundred twenty -'seven and sixty-nine hundredths (1,927.69)feet West of the Southeast corner of Section Eighteen (18), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West; thence northerly sixty-six and four hundredths (66.04) feet; thence Westerly one hundred sixty-two and eighty-four hundredths (162.84) feet to a point sixty-five and twenty-three hundredths (65.23) feet North of the south lime of said section; thence Northerly ten (10.0) feet; t ence Westerly two and sixteen hundredths (2.16) f et; thence Southerly seventy-five and twenty-two hundre the (75.22) feet; thence East on the section line approximately one hundred and sixty-five (165.0) feet to point of beginning, containing fourteen hundredths (0.14) acres, more or less, exclusive of the existing right-of-way, all in the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section 18, Township 14 South, Range 2 West, Saline County, Kansas, be and the same is hereby vacated, except for a strip of land 60 feet wide along the South line of the said Southeast Quarter of Section 18 required by the City as a right-of-way easement for East Crawford Road and dedicated to the City by the Final Plat of Upper Mill Heights Addition No. 2. Book 63, at page 330, in the Office of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas,ll and described as follows: Beginning at a point twelve hundred eighty-five and thirteen hundredths (1,285.13) feet west of the southeast corner of Section Eighteen (18), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West; thence northerly sixty-nine and twenty-five hundredths (69.25) feet; thence westerly fifty-five and four tenths (55.4) feet to a point sixty- eight and ninety-seven hundredths (68.97) feet north of the South line of said Section; thence northerly five (5.0) feet; thence westerly two hundred (200.0) feet to 4 point seventy- two and ninety-eight hundredths (72.98) feet north of the south line of said Section; thence southerly five (5) feet; thence westerly three hundred eighty-seven and sixteen hundredths (387.16) feet; thence southerly sixty-six and four hundredths (66.04) feet; thence East on the Section line approximately six hundred forty-two and fifty-six hundredths (642.56) feet to point of beginning, containing fifty-eight hundredths (0.58) acres, more or less, exclusive of the existing right- of-way, all in the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section 18, Township 14 South, Range Two (2) West, Saline County, Kansas, be and the same is hereby vacated, except for a strip of land 60 feet wide along the South line of the said Southeast Quarter of Section 18, required by the City as a right- of-way easement for East Crawford Road. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city news aper.
