What is Kernza?

A distant cousin of annual wheat, Kernza® is a domesticated perennial grain originating from a
forage grass called intermediate wheatgrass (Thinopyrum intermedium). Kernza perennial grain is
in the early stages of crop stewardship to move the grain from research onto farms and plates.
