BE IT RE::OLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMM: SSIONER OF TTP'. CITY OF
UALItA, KANSAS:
That the City of Salina bel ' eves that The League of Kansas
Municipalities is rendering a valuable service to the Cities
of the State of Kansas, and to the State as a whole; that much
of the service which it is in position to furnish to city
o ;'icials could not be replaced or furnished from any other
source; that cities which purchase its special services do so
voluntarily and usually because such services area not available
to the cities from any other source except at a crcctly increased
cost; That the general services furnished by the league are well
worth the dues paid by member cities and the cities get full
value for such dues; that if Senate Bill No. 269 which is now
pending in the Legislature is passed, it will effecttally abolish
the League of Kansas Municipalities and that the overning body
of the City of Salina respectfully petitions the Judiciary Com-
mittee of the Senate that it report said Bill to the Senate with
the recommendation that it be not passed.
