RESOLUTION NO. 607
A RESOLUTION relating to and authorizing an application to the
Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for the
grant of additional funds in connection with the improve-
ments to the Waterworks Pumping Station, P. W. A. Docket
#2739.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings heretofore duly authorised,
certain improvements to the Waterworks Pumping Station of the
City of Salina, Kansas, have been completed and the actual cost
of such improvements has been duly determined and paid as follows:
Direct Contract Cost $ 15,478.63
Force Account Cost 4,749.27
Field Inspection and
Supervision 407.50
Total $ 20,635.40
AND WHEREAS, pursuant to an application duly made and
pursuant to a contract duly entered Into between said Federal
Emergency Administration of Public Works and the City of Salina,
Kansas a grant allotment was made to the City of Salina, Kansas,
of $6000 to be applied to the payment of the cost of such improve-
ments, known as P. W. A. Docket #2739 (Allotment Symbol 142.43).
AND WHEREAS, 30% of the total actual cost of such improve-
ments amounts to $6190.62, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas,
Section 1. That an application be and the same is hereby
made to the Federal Emergency Administration of Public ti°orks for
an additional grant allotment of $190.62 being the difference be-
tween the grant allotment of $6000.00 heretofore made and $6190.62
which is 30% of the actual cost of said impDovements including field
inspection and supervision, and that H. N. Lanme, City Engineer,
of the City of Salina be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to present this application to the Federal Emergency Administration
of Public Works and furnish such information and to take whatever
action may be necessary or required to obtain such additional grant
allotment.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect upon its publica-
tion in the Salina Journal, the official city paper.
