RESOLUTION NO. 522
A RESOLUTION ratifying a certain agreement dated January 19th,
1931 between The Western Star Mill Company, The United Power &
night Corporation, and The City of Salina, Kansas, relating to a
dam across the Smoky Hill River at the Western Star Mill .
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas :
1. That a certain written agreement dated January 19th,
1931 entered into by and. between The Western Star Millg Company,
a Kansas corporation, party of the first part, The United Power &
Light Corporation, a Kansas corporation, party of the second part;
and The City of Salina, Kansas party of the third part; relating
to the dam across the Smoky Hill River at the Western Star Mill,
known as The Western Star Mill dam, which agreement was executed
on behalf of the City of Salina, Kansas by Chas . F. Dodds, Mayor
of said city at the time of the execution of said agreement, by
authority of the Board of Commissioners of said city, and which
has been duly executed and acknowledged by the officers of The
Western Star Mill Company and The United Power & Light Corporation,
and which agreement is now in full force and effect, be and the same
is hereby approved, confirmed and fully ratified, and that said
agreement be attached to and made a part of this resolution by refer-
ence.
2. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to
record said agreement together with this resolution in the office
of the Register of Deeds of Saline County, Kansas, and in the
record of Resolutions kept by him as City Clerk in his office.
