AN ORDINANCE prescribing the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, including
land described in Ordinance Numbers 8155, 8167, 8172, 8173, 8183, 8187, and repealing r
Section 1 of Ordinance Number 8132.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina,
Kansas, have come to pass, SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, be and
the same is hereby extended to include territory added to, taken into, and made a part
of said City under the provisions of Section 1 of Ordinance Number's 8155, 8167, 8172,
8173, 8187, and that all of the land lying within the following described boundaries
be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits, herein defined as:
1. Beginning at the section corner common to Sections 22, 23,
26, 27, Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian;
2. Thence north on the west line of said Section 23 to the
west quarter corner of said Section 23, being the
intersection of Republic Avenue and Cherokee Avenue;
3. Thence west along the south line of the NE4 of said
Section 22 to the west line of Edgemere Addition
to the City of Salina, Kansas;
4. Thence north along the west line of said Edgemere
Addition and extended north to a point 240.0 feet south
of the center line of Crawford Street;
5. Thence westerly on a line, 240 feet south of and parallel
to the center line of Crawford Street, a distance of 638.25 feet;
6. Thence northerly a distance of 280 feet to the north right-of-way
line of Crawford Street, such point being the southeast corner
of Westport Exchange Addition;
7. Thence westerly along the north line of Crawford Street a
distance of 29.85 feet, such point being also on the right-
of-way of 1-35-W Highway;
8. Thence sighting back on said line and turning a counter-
clockwise angle of 170° 47' 50" then proceeding in a westerly

Section 2, That the corporate limits of the City of Salina, be and the same is
hereby extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and made a part of said
City in conformity with the provisions of K. S, A. 1970 Supplement 12-520, and that all of
the land lying within the following described boundaries be and the same is hereby declared
to be within the corporate limits, herein defined as:
Tract Number 1, The east half of the NWµ and the west half of the
NE4 of Section 20, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the
Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas,
Tract Number 2. The west half of the SE4 of Section 20, Township
14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian,
Saline County, Kansas.
Tract Number 3. A part of the NE4 of Section 29, Township 14 South,
Range 2 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Saline County,
Kansas, described as follows:
1. Beginning at a point on the line common to Sections 20
and 29, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas, to which
has been assigned a bearing of due East, 421 feet east
of the quarter corner common to Sections 20 and 29;
2. Thence South 00° 251 West 1,500 feet;
3. Thence due East 1,000 feet;
4. Thence North 00° 251 East 1,500 feet to the section
line;
5. Thence due West along the section line 1,000 feet
to the point of beginning, containing 34.4 acres,
more or less.
Tract Number 4. The East 610 feet of the NW4 of Section 8, Township
14 South, Range 2 West, north of the Missouri Pacific Railroad,
and that portion of the NE4 of Section 8, Township 14 South,
Range 2 West, west of the center line of the Smoky Hill River
and north of the north right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific
Railroad; and
A tract of land in the west half of the NEI. of
Section 8, Township 14 South, Range 2 West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian, described as follows:

139 feet;
4, Thence southwesterly to a point 360 feet south of,
and 361 feet west of the northeast corner of said
west half of the NEµ of said Section 8;
5. Thence southwesterly to a point 725 feet south of
and 693 feet west of the northeast corner of said
property;
6. Thence southwesterly to a point on the north right-
of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad;
7, Thence west on the north line of said Missouri Pacific
Railroad to the center line of the Smoky Hill River;

Section 3, That Section 1 of Ordinance Number 8132 be and it is hereby repealed.
