8172 AnnexationCONSOLSD ATE D-SAL_TNA ORDINANCE NUMBER 8172 (Published in The Salina Journal 1971) I AN ORDINANCE annexing certain land to the City of Salina, Kansas, in conformity with the provisions of K. S. A. 1970 Supplement 12-520. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit: Tract Number 1. A tract of land located in Section Eleven (11), Section Fourteen (14), and Section Fifteen (15), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, being more particularly described as follows: 1. Beginning at a point on the north line of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section Fifteen (15), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian that is 125 feet west of the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of said Section Fifteen (15), 2. Thence southwesterly a distance of 609.15 feet to a point 220 feet west and 600 feet south of the northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of said Section Fifteen (15), said point being on the west right-of-way line of the Dry Creek Channel Change, 5. Thence east to a point 667.25 feet east of the west line of Section Fourteen (14), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, 6. Thence north to the center line of Dry Creek, 7. Thence northerly along the center line of Dry Creek to the north line of said Section Fourteen (14), 8. Thence west along the north line of said Section Fourteen (14) a distance of 925 feet, 9. Thence north 820 feet to the south right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad, 10. Thence southwesterly along said right-of-way line to the west line of Section Eleven (11), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, 11. Thence south along the west line of said Section Eleven (11) to the north line of said Section Fourteen (14), 12. Thence south along the west line of said Section Fourteen (14) to the southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW4) of said I' Section Fourteen (14), 13. Thence southwesterly along said right-of-way a distance of 266.10 feet to a point 350 feet west and 830 feet south of the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of said Section Fifteen (15), 4. Thence southwesterly along said right-of-way a distance of 480 feet to a point 1442.44 feet north and 655 feet west of the southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of said Section Fifteen (15), 5. Thence east to a point 667.25 feet east of the west line of Section Fourteen (14), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, 6. Thence north to the center line of Dry Creek, 7. Thence northerly along the center line of Dry Creek to the north line of said Section Fourteen (14), 8. Thence west along the north line of said Section Fourteen (14) a distance of 925 feet, 9. Thence north 820 feet to the south right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad, 10. A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section Twenty-six (26), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, being more particularly described as follows: 1. Beginning at a point that is the southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section Twenty-six (26), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, 2. Thence north along the east line of said Section Twenty-six (26) to a point 230.0 feet south of the center line of Wayne Avenue extended, 3. Thence west following a line 230.0 feet south of the center line of Wayne Avenue extended, crossing U. S. 81 Highway to the west right-of-way of said Highway, 4. Thence south along the west line of said Highway to a point 475 feet, more or less, south of the north line of the Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Section Twenty-six (26), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian; 5. Thence west through Lot 8, Block 2, Wallerius Addition and along the south line of Lot 4, Block 2, to the southwest corner of said Lot 4, 6. Thence north and westerly along the east line of Tulane Avenue to the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2, 7. Thence crossing Tulane Avenue, southwesterly to the southeast corner of Lot 8, Block 5, of said Addition and following the south boundary of said Lot 8 to its southwest corner, 8. Thence south along the east line of Lot 10 to the southeast corner of said Lot, 9. Thence west along the south line of Lot 10 to the southwest corner of said Lot, 10. Thence southwesterly across Venus Avenue to the northeast corner of Lot 5, Block 6, and along the east line of Lot 5 to the southeast corner thereof, 11. Thence west along the south line of Lot 5, to the southwest corner thereof, 12. Thence south along the east line of Lot 14, Block 6, continuing south across Mercury Avenue and along the east line of Lot 4, and Lot 14, Block 7, to the southeast corner of said Lot 14, Block 7, which point is also the north line of Jupiter Avenue, 13. Thence west along the north line of said Jupiter Avenue to the east line of Hageman Avenue, 14. Thence south along the east line of said Hageman Avenue to the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 8, of said Addition, 15. Thence crossing Hageman Avenue southwesterly to a point 112.2 feet south of the south line of Jupiter Avenue, 16. Thence south along the west line of Hageman Avenue to the north line of Saturn Avenue, 17. Thence west along the north side of Saturn Avenue, and northwesterly along the northeast line of Meadowlark Lane to the south corner of Lot 11, Block 13, Wallerius Addition, CONSOLIDATED -SALIVA 18. Thence westerly across Meadowlark Lane to the east corner of Lot 5, Block 15, of said Addition, 19. Thence southwesterly to the south corner of Lot 5, such point being also on the east right-of-way line of 1-35-W Highway, 20. Thence southerly along said east right-of-way line to the south line of said Section Twenty-six (26), 21. Thence east along the south line of said Section Twenty-six (26) to the point of beginning. Tract Number 3. A tract of land located in the north half of Section Nineteen (19), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, being more particularly described as follows: 1. Beginning at a point that is the southeast corner of Lot 9, Block 3, of Meyer Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, 2. Thence easterly across Meadowbrook Road to the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 9, of said Meyer Addition, 3. Thence easterly along the south line of Lot 1, Block 9 of said Addition extended to the north low water line of the Smoky Hill River, 4. Thence northwesterly along said low water line to a point 700 feet west of the southeast corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of said Section Nineteen (19) and 1,240 feet south of the north line of said Section Nineteen (19), 5. Thence northwesterly a distance of 1,060 feet to a point 200 feet south and 412.39 feet east of the northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of said Section Ninoteen (19) 6. Thence west along a line 200 feet south and parallel to the north line of said Section Nineteen (19), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian to a point on the east line of the Replat of Faith Addition, 7. Thence southeasterly along the east line of Lot 2, Block 10, Replat of Faith Addition to the southeast corner thereof, 8. Thence southwesterly along the south line of Lot 2, to the southwest corner of said Lot, which is also the east line of Faith Drive, 9. Thence northwesterly and west along the northeast line of Faith Drive to the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Block 9, 10. Thence southwesterly crossing Faith Drive to the northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 7, of said Addition, I 11. Thence south along the east line of Blocks 7 and 3, of the Replat of Faith Addition and Crossing McAdams Road to the point of beginning. meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.
