8140 CMB LocationCONSOLIDATED-SALINA ---_- - - I 1 1 0 ORDINANCE NUMBER 8140 (Published in The Salina Journal 2z 1971) AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE LOCATION AND VISIBILITY OF PLACES OF BUSINESS LICENSED AS A GENERAL RETAILER FOR SALE OF CEREAL MALT BEVERAGES AND PROVIDING EXCEPTIONS THERETO: AMENDING SECTION 6-61 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING SAID EXISTING SECTION. follows: BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 6-61 of The Salina Code is hereby amended to read as ''Section 6-61. Location and Visibility of Premises. No general retailer's license to sell cereal malt beverages for consumption on the premises hereunder shall be issued for any place of business in the City except for a room on the first or street floor of the premises or building in which the licensed place of business is located, which room shall have a clear glass window through which the entire room in which any such business is conducted shall be at all times visible from the street upon which such room fronts, and no screen, curtain, sign or other obstruction of any kind shall be so placed in or adjacent to such window so as to prevent the clear, unobstructed view of such premises from such street; provided however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply if the premises in which such business is conducted are also currently licensed as a club under a license issued by the State Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control.'' Section 2. That the existing Section 6-61 of The Salina Code is hereby repealed. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
