8212 Electrical Service EntryG 1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 8212 (Published in The Salina Journal 2, 1972) AN ORDINANCE SPECIFYING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE ENTRANCES TO BE INSTALLED WITHIN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS; AMENDING SECTION 9-181 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section I. That Section 9-181 of The Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 9-181. Service Entrances Service entrance conductors shall be in rigid conduit in Fire Zones I and 2. In new residential dwellings, service entrance conductors shall have an ampacity of not less than 100 amperes 3 -wire and no service equipment shall be designed to accommodate less than twelve (12) single pole branch circuit breakers in addition to the 100 amp main breaker, totaling a 14 circuit panel. Section 2. That the existing Section 9-181 of The Salina Code is hereby repealed. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper. (SEAL) Attest: D. L.
