AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SERVICE CHARGES FOR CITY REFUSE COLLECTION
SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, AMENDING SECTION 31-17 AND REPEALING
THE EXISTING SECTION:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That Section 31-17 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 31-17. Service Charges Established
City refuse collection service shall be available
to the householders and occupants of residential premises
for the following charges to be paid monthly to the City
as hereafter provided: Each dwelling of not more than
three (3) units served by the sanitation department, Three
Dollars ($3.00) per month for collection at least once
each week, provided all containers for each dwelling are
situated in one central location for collection. Charges
for partial month service shall be at the rate of ten cents
($0.10) per day, provided the minimum fee for starting and
stopping service for any period less than one month shall
be Three Dollars ($3.00)."
Section 2. Section 31-17 of the Salina Code is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
