8297 Levy Assessments1 1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 8297 (Pub I i shed i n The Sa I i na Journa I au�(u�r 2A 1973) AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AGAINST CERTAIN LOTS AND PIECES OF PROPERTY TO PAY THE COST OF ABATEMENT OF NUISANCES, LOCATED AT THE FOLLOWING PROPERTY, TO -WIT: Lot 4, Block 8, Episcopal Military Institute Addition Lot 1, Block 19, plus 10 feet vacated street, Episcopal Military Institute Addition Lot 16, Block 24, Episcopal Military Institute Addition Lot 8, Block 6, Kraft Manor Addition Number 2 Lot 16, Block 2, Likins Foster Addition Lots 18 and 20, Block 48, Military Addition South 30 feet of the East 2 of Lot 2 and the North 15 feet of the East zof Lot 3, Block 1, Morrison Addition Lots 2 and 4, Block 1, Pacific Addition Lot 24, Block 17, Pacific Addition Lot 26, Block 17, Pacific Addition South 74 feet of Lot 11, Cedar Street, Phillips Third Addition Block 5, Riverside Addition Lot 7, Block B, South Park Sub -Division North 50 feet of the South 100 feet of Lots 5 and 6, Walnut Street, University Addition Lot 19, Block 4, Woodland Addition Lot 12, Block 5, Woodland Addition Lot 10, Block 6, Woodland Addition Lot 13, Block 6, Woodland Addition WHEREAS, the Health Officer of the City of Salina, Kansas, caused to be notified, the owner of the property, hereinafter described, to cause such nuisance to be removed. WHEREAS, the owner of the property hereinafter described, after proper notice, did not remove such nuisances in accordance with Section 15-3 of the Salina Code, and the cost thereof has been ascertained, SO NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against the lots and pieces of property hereinafter described, an assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of removal of such nuisances, taxable against the following described lots in the amount set opposite said lots: [TLD-SALINA I 1 1 Lot 4, Block 8, Episcopal Military Institute Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to certify said assessments to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed upon the tax roll for collection, in one installment, in the year 1973, and subject to the same penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes.
