AN ORDINANCE prescribing the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas,
including land described in Ordinance Number 8227 and 8244, and repealing
Ordinance Number 8188.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the
City of Salina, Kansas, have come to pass, SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina,
Kansas, be and the same is hereby extended to include territory added to,
taken into, and made a part of said City under the provisions of Section
1 of Ordinance Number 8227 and 8244, and that all of the land lying
within the following described boundaries be and the same is hereby
declared to be within the corporate limits, herein defined as:
1. Beginning at the section corner common to Sections
22, 23, 26, 27, Township 14 South, Range 3 West
of the Sixth Principal Meridian;
2. Thence north on the west line of said Section 23
to the west quarter corner of said Section 23,
being the intersection of Republic Avenue and
Cherokee Avenue;
3. Thence west along the south line of the NEI of
said Section 22 to the west line of Edgemere
Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas;
4. Thence north along the west line of said Edgemere
Addition and extended north to a point 240.0
feet south of the center line of Crawford Avenue;
5. Thence westerly on a line, 240 feet south of and
parallel to the center line of Crawford Avenue,
a distance of 638.25 feet;
6. Thence northerly a distance of 280 feet to the
north right-of-way line of Crawford Avenue, such
point being the southeast corner of Westport
Exchange Addition;
7. Thence westerly along the north line of Crawford
Avenue a distance of 29.85 feet, such point being
also on the right-of-way of I -35-W Highway;
