AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AGAINST CERTAIN PROPERTY TO
PAY FOR THE COST OF THE DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES LOCATED THEREON WHICH WERE
ORDERED REMOVED OR DEMOLISHED BY THE BUILDING INSPECTOR PURSUANT TO ARTICLE II
DF CHAPTER 16 OF THE SALINA CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed
against each of the lots and parts of lots hereinafter described as special tax
or assessment for the purpose of paying the cost of demolition and removal of
structures located on said premises which were ordered to be removed by the
Building Inspector in accordance with Article II of Chapter 16 of the Salina
Code and the cost of the removal thereof amounted to the various amounts set
forth opposite the following described lots and parts of lots, to -wit:

Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to
immediately certify the assessment made in Section 1 of this ordinance to the
County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed upon the tax rolls for
collection, subject to the same penalties and collected in the same manner as
other taxes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
