ORDINANCE NUMBER 8417

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE PERMIT FEE FOR MOVING ANY BUILDING OR
STRUCTURE OVER, ON OR ACROSS ANY STREET, AVENUE, ALLEY OR PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE
WITHIN THE CITY; AMENDING SECTION 32-74 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE
EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 32-74 of the Salina Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 32-74. Permit; fee.
For a moving permit to move any frame house or other
building or any part thereof through, over, on or across
any street, avenue, alley or other public thoroughfare
within the city, the applicant shall pay to the city at
the time such application is filed an initial fee of
fifty dollars ($50), plus twenty-five dollars ($25) for
each one-half mile or fraction thereof which said
structure will be moved on any street, avenue, alley
or public thoroughfare within the City."
Section 2. That Section 32-74 of the Salina Code is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
