AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY PERSON FROM PROVIDING ENTERTAINMENT IN A
RESTAURANT, CAFE OR CAFETERIA IN ANY PLACE IN THE CITY IN AN AREA ZONED AS "ZONE
D" WITHOUT FIRST SECURING A LICENSE THEREFOR; ESTABLISHING A LICENSE FEE THEREFOR
AMENDING SECTION 7-91 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 7-91 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 7-91. License required in Zone D; fee;
expiration; transferability.
It shall be unlawful for any person to provide
entertainment in a restaurant, cafe or cafeteria in any
place in the city in an area zoned as "Zone D", Local
Business, without first securing a license therefor
as in this article provided, and paying a license fee
in the amount of thirty-three dollars ($33.00) per year
or fraction thereof. Such license when issued shall
expire on the last day of December next after the
same is issued, and shall be nonassignable and nontransferable,
and shall be issued only to individuals and not to corporations."
Section 2. That the existing Section 7-91 of the Salina Code is hereby
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after December 31, 1974.
