AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO HAVE, KEEP OR MAINTAIN, FOR HIRE OR
PROFIT, ANY BILLIARD OR POOL TABLE WITHOUT SECURING A LICENSE THEREFOR;
ESTABLISHING THE LICENSE FEE THEREFOR; AMENDING SECTION 7-68 OF THE SALINA CODE
AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 7-68 of the Salina Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 7-68. Billiard and pool table licenses required;
expiration; transferability; fees.
It shall be unlawful for any person to have, keep or
maintain, for hire or profit, in any place in the city,
billiard or pool tables, without first securing a license
therefor as in this article provided, and paying a license
fee for each table of thirteen dollars -($13.00) per year
or frantional part thereof. Such license shall expire on
the last day of December next after the same is issued,
and shall be nonassignable and nontransferable and shall
be issued only to individuals and not to corporations.
The license fee herein made payable shall be based upon
each and every billiard and/or pool table kept or maintained
in place of business for which such licenses are paid unless
such table is actually dismantled and rendered unfit for
use as a billiard or pool table."
Section 2. That the existing Section 7-68 of the Salina Code is hereby
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after December 31, 1974.
