AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AGAINST CERTAIN LOTS AND
PIECES OF PROPERTY TO PAY THE COST OF ABATEMENT OF NUISANCES, LOCATED AT THE
FOLLOWING PROPERTY, TO -WIT:
Lot 3, Block 6, College View Addition
Lot 26, Block 17, Pacific Addition
Lot 3, Block 2, Santa Fe Park Addition
West 48 feet of Lot 9 and the Southeast 2 feet
of Lot 10, Surveyor's Plat "B"
Lot 73, Park Street, Wilson Addition
Lot 20, Block 1, Woodland Addition
Lot 3, Block 3, Woodland Addition
WHEREAS, the Health Officer of the City of Salina, Kansas, caused to
to be notified, the owner of the property, hereinafter described, to cause such
nuisance to be removed.
Whereas, the owner of the property hereinafter described, after proper
notice, did not remove such nuisance in accordance with Section 15-3 of the
Salina Code, and the cost thereof has been ascertained, SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed
against the lots and pieces of property hereinafter described, an assessment
for the purpose of paying the cost of removal of such nuisances, taxable against
the following described lots in the amount set opposite said lots:
Lot 3, Block 6, College View Addition -------------- 16.92
Lot 26, Block 17, Pacific Addition ----------------- 6.64
Lot 3, Block 2, Santa Fe Park Addition ------------- 23.24
West 48 feet of Lot 9 and the Southeast 2 feet
of Lot 10, Surveyor's Plat "B" --------------------- 33.62
Lot 73, Park Street, Wilson Addition --------------- 10.93
Lot 20, Block 1, Woodland Addition ----------------- 10.28
Lot 3, Block 3, Woodland Addition ------------------ 17.28
$118.91
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to
immediately certify said assessments to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas,
to be placed upon the tax roll for collection in one installment, in the year 1976
and subject to the same penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
