8469 Insurance RequirementORDINANCE NUMBER 8469 (Published in the Salina Journal 1976) AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THE INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS DOING BUSINESS WITHIN THE CITY OF SALINA, AMENDING SECTION 9-134 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 9-134 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 9-134. Insurance required. Every person engaging in the business of an electrical contractor in the City shall, as a condition of the issuance of his license, procure and maintain in full force and effect for the duration of the license bodily injury insurance in the minimum amount of $300,000 per occurrence and property damage liability insurance in the minimum amount of $100,000 per occurrence. Proof of coverage shall be on file with the City at all times. Each insurance policy shall contain a clause to the effect that the policy shall not at any time during the license period be cancelled or reduced, restricted or limited, unless the administrative authority is given ten (10) days written notice thereof." Section 2. That the existing Section 9-134 is hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
