AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SALINA,
KANSAS, INCLUDING LAND DESCRIBED IN ORDINANCE NUMBER 8458, AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 8404.
WHEREAS,:all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in
the City of Salina, Kansas, have come to pass, SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, be
and the same is hereby,extended to include territory added to, taken into, and
made a part of said city under the provisions of Section 1 of Ordinance Number
8458, and that all of the land lying within the following described boundaries
be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits, herein
defined as:
I. Beginning at the section corner common to Sections
Twenty-two (22), Twenty-three (23), Twenty-six (26),
Twenty-seven (27), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range
Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian;
2. Thence north on the west line of Section Twenty-three
(23) to a point one thousand nine hundred ninety-five
and thirty-three hundredths feet (1,995.33') south of
the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of
Section Twenty-two (22);
3. Thence west to a point two hundred forty feet (2409
west and one thousand nine hundred ninety-six and eight
tenths feet (1,996.81) south of the northeast corner

Section 2. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina, be and
the same is hereby extended to include the territory added to, taken into, and
made a part of said City in conformity with the provisions of K.S.A. 1970
Supplement 12-520, and that all of the land lying within the following described
boundaries be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits,
herein defined as:
Tract Number 1. The east six hundred ten feet (610.0') of the
Northwest Quarter (NW/4) of Section Eight (8), Township
Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian, north of the Missouri Pacific railroad.
Tract Number 2. A tract of land in the west half of the Northeast
Quarter w/2 NE/4) of Section Eight (8), Township Fourteen (14)
South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian,
described as follows:
1. Beginning at the northwest corner of the west half
of the Northeast Quarter (W/2 NE/4) of said Section
Eight (8);

3. Thence northeasterly to a point three hundred thirty-
three feet (333.0') south of and two hundred twenty-
eight and eight tenths feet (228.81) east of the
place of beginning;
4. Thence northeasterly to a point on the south right-
of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad three
hundred seventy and two tenths feet (370.2') east of
the place of beginning;
5. Thence west three hundred seventy and two tenths feet
(370.2') to the point of beginning.
Section 3. That Ordinance Number 8404 be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
