ORDINANCE NUMBER 8536

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 8526, THE
SAME BEING CHAPTER 36 OF THE SALINA CODE, AND THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP THEREIN
AND THEREBY ADOPTED AND PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY AND PRESCRIBING THE PROPER USES THEREOF.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent for the amendment of the Zoning
District Map, the rezoning of certain land therein, hereinafter described has
been timely complied with, and SO NOW, THERE'ORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. AMENDMENT. DISTRICT "C-3". SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT.
That the Zoning District Map of the City of Salina, Kansas, hereto duly adopted
and published as a part of Ordinance Number 8526, the same being Chapter 36 of
the Salina Code, be and it is hereby amended so that the following described
property be rezoned as follows, to -wit:
All of Lot Eighteen (18), Block Fifteen (15), Meadowlark Acres
Addition Number 3 to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas,
except the following tracts:
Tract (1). Beginning at the southeast corner of Meadowlark
Acres Addition Number 2 to the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas; thence north zero degrees twenty-five minutes thirty-
two seconds east (N.0025'32"E.) a distance of seventy-eight
feet (78.001); thence northwesterly along a thirty-two degree
forty-four minute and twenty-six second (32°44'26") curve to
the left a distance of one hundred fourteen and eighty-two
hundredths feet (114.82'); thence northeasterly to the southwest
corner of Lot Nine (9), Block Fifteen (15), Meadowlark Acres
Addition Number 3; thence south forty degrees fifty-one minutes
twenty-four seconds east (S.40°51'24"E.) a distance of four
hundred fifty-one and seventy-nine hundredths feet (451.79');
thence south zero degrees twenty-five minutes thirty-two
seconds west (S.0025132"W) a distance of fifty-five feet
(55.001); thence north eighty-nine degrees thirty-four minutes
twenty-eight seconds west (N.89°34'28"W.) parallel to the
south line of Section Twenty-five (25), Township Fourteen (14)
South, Range Three (3) west, a distance of five hundred forty-
six and sixty-six hundredths feet (546.66') to the point of
beginning.
Tract (2). Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot One (1),
Block Fifteen (15), Meadowlark Acres Addition Number 3; thence
south zero degrees fifteen minutes fifty-four seconds West
(S.0°15'54"W.) a distance of six hundred three feet (603.00')
to a point that is the southwest corner of Lot Six (6), Block
(15), Meadowlark Acres Addition Number 3; thence south six
degrees forty-four minutes six seconds east (S.6°44106'E.) a
distance of three hundred seventy-four and ninety-one hundredths
feet (374.911) to a point that is the southwest corner of Lot
Nine (9), Block Fifteen (15), Meadowlark Acres Addition Number
3; thence south thirty-eight degrees fifteen minutes fifty-
four second west (S.38°15'54"W•) a distance of seventy and
seventy-two hundredths feet (70.72'); thence north six degrees
forty-four minutes and six seconds west (N.6°44'06"W.) a
distance of four hundred thirty-one feet (431.00'); thence
north zero degrees fifteen minutes and fifty-four seconds east
(N.0°15'54'E.) a distance of six hundred three feet (603.001)
thence south eighty-nine degrees forty-four minutes six seconds
east (S.89044'06'E.) a distance of fifty feet (50.00') to the
point of beginning.
shall become a part of District "C-3". SHOPPING CENTER DISTRICT. That the use
of said described property shall be subject to all the conditions, restrictions
and limitations as made and provided for in Ordinance Number 8526, the same
being Chapter 36 of the Salina Code, with reference to the SHOPPING CENTER
DISTRICT.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
