AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-520.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A part of the Northeast Quarter and the East Half of the Northwest
Quarter of Section Thirty (30), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range
Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas,
described as follows:
All that part of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter and the
East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section Thirty (30),
Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2) West of the Sixth
Principal Meridian, lying east of and within the bend of the old
channel of the Smoky Hill River, adjacent to and lying west of
the land over which the City of Salina acquired a right-of-way
for purposes of a flood levee in Case Number 21738 in the District
Court of Saline County, Kansas, containing 46.8 acres more or
less
(Also known as Lot 1, Block 1, Holmquist Estates Addition)
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-520, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
