AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AGAINST CERTAIN PROPERTY TO
PAY THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING CERTAIN SIDEWALKS IN -THE PARKING ABUTTING THE
FOLLOWING PROPERTY TO -WIT:
A concrete sidewalk installed at the property line on the
east side of Belmont Boulevard, adjacent to Lots 3, 4, 5,
Block 29, Key Acres Addition to the City of Salina, Saline
County, Kansas
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has, by Resolution Numbers 3302,
and 3318, caused to be notified the owners of the property hereinafter described,
to cause thei.r respective portion of said sidewalks to be constructed at their
own expense and have fulfilled all conditions precedent to the construction of
said sidewalks.
WHEREAS, the owners of the property hereinafter described did not
within one hundred twenty days and thirty days, as required by Resolution Numbers
3302 and 3318, respectively, cause said sidewalks to be constructed and the City
caused said sidewalks to be constructed pursuant to K.S.A. Chapter 12, Article
18, and the cost thereof has been ascertained.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed
against the lots hereinafter described, an assessment for the purpose of paying
the cost of constructing said sidewalks, taxable against the following described
lots in the amount set opposite said lots:

WHEREAS, the Board

BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed
against the lots hereinafter described, an assessment for the purpose of paying
the cost of constructing said sidewalks, taxable against the following described
lots in the amount set opposite said lots:

Section 2. That the owner or owners of the property above described
shall have thirty (30) days after the publication of this ordinance within which
to make full payment.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is directed to mail a notice not less
than fifteen days prior to the end of the thirty (30) days to the owners of the
property as shown on the records of the Office of the Register of Deeds.
Section 4. That if full payment of the assessment made in Section 1
of this ordinance is not made within thirty days after the publication of this
ordinance, the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to certify said
assessments to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas, to be placed on the
tax roll for collection in four installments, starting with the year 1978, and
subject to the same penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
