8599 Open/Enclosed ParkingCE NUMBER 8599 (Published in The Salina Journal C, Ube_r 15 , 1977) AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 36-1000(2)D OF ZONING ORDINANCE NUMBER 8526, THE SAME BEING CHAPTER 36 OF THE SALINA CODE, AND REPEALING THE ORIGINAL SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 36-1000(2)D of the Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 36-1000(2). Standards for required Off -Street Parking. D. Open and Enclosed Parking. No off-street parking, driving, or maneuvering areas open to the sky shall cover more than 60% of the total area of any front yard nor shall any motor vehicle be parked in any front yard except upon a driveway or parking area. The area devoted to driveway purposes shall not be considered in determining whether off-street parking requirements have been met except in the instance of single-family and two-family dwellings. Enclosed buildings and carports containing off-street parking shall be subject to the yard requirements applicable to the district in which located." Section 2. That the existing Section 36-1000(2)D of the Salina Code is hereby repealed. Section 3.
