AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SCREENING OF INOPERABLE VEHICLES; AMENDING
SECTION 23-175 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 23-175 of the Salina Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 23-175. Screening.
The provisions of Section 23-173 of this Article shall not apply
to any person, firm or corporation or their agent who is conducting a
commercial enterprise in any commercial district except C-1, or any
industrial district as provided in the zoning regulations or who
places such vehicles behind screening of sufficient size, strength and
density to screen such vehicles from the view of the public using the
streets and sidewalks and to prohibit ready access to such vehicles by
children; provided, however, that nothing in this Section authorizes
the maintenance of a public nuisance."
Section 2. That the existing Section 23-175 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
