AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SERVICE CHARGES FOR CITY REFUSE COLLECTION
SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS; AMENDING SECTION 31-17 OF THE SALINA
CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
to read as follows:
"Section 31-17. Service charges established.
City refuse collection service shall be available to the
householders and occupants of residential premises for the
following charges to be paid monthly to the City as hereafter
provided: Each dwelling, or household, unit served by the
Sanitation Department for at least once a week collection,
shall be Three Dollars and seventy-five cents ($3.75) per
month. Charges for partial month service shall be at the
rate of twelve and one-half cents ($0.125) per day, provided
the minimum fee for starting and stopping service for any
period less than one month shall be Three Dollars and seventy-
five cents ($3.75)•"
Section 2. That the existing Section 31-17 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after
its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
