8643 Process Complaints1 J ORDINANCE NUMBER 8643 (Published in The Salina Journal �i3 1978) AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE PROCEDURE FOR PROCESSING COMPLAINTS AND PROVIDING FOR THE TIME IN WHICH TO FILE AN APPEAL FROM A DETERMINATION MADE BY THE DIRECTOR; AMENDING SECTION 11A-72(6) AND SECTION 11A-72(8) OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 11A-72(6) of the Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 11A-72(6). Both the complainant and the respondent shall be notified by certified mail of the determination concerning probable cause, and that such determination may be appealed in writing to the Human Relations Commission within fifteen (15) days of notification." Section 2. That Section 11A-72(8) of the Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 11A-72(8). Either the complainant or respondent, if not satisfied with the determination concerning probable cause, may request a public hearing before the Commission. Such request shall be submitted in writing within fifteen (15) days following receipt of notification of said determination." Section 3. That the existing Section 11A-72(6) and Section 11A-72(8) of the Salina Code be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper. (SEAL) ATTEST: D. L.
