AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
(SE/4 SW/4) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Fourteen (14) South,
Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County,
Kansas, being more particularly described as follows:
1. Beginning at a point on the south line of said Southwest Quarter
(SW/4) that is four hundred thirty-eight feet (4389 west of the
southeast corner of said Southwest Quarter (SW/4);
2. Thence North zero degrees thirty-five minutes West (NO035'w) a
distance of seven hundred fifteen and seven tenths feet (715.79;
3. Thence North eighty-seven degrees eight minutes East (N87°08'E) a
distance of four hundred forty-eight and four tenths feet (448.49
to the east line of said Southwest Quarter (SW/4);
4. Thence North a distance of five hundred eighty-seven feet (587')
to the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Southwest
Quarter (SE/4 SWA) ;
5. Thence West a distance of seven hundred twenty-six feet (726')
along the north line of the Southeast Quarter of said Southwest
Quarter (SE/4 SW/4);
6. Thence South a distance of one thousand three hundred twenty feet
(1,320.0') along a line parallel to the east line of said Southwest
Quarter (SW/4) to the south line of said Southwest Quarter (SW/4);
7. Thence East a distance of two hundred eighty-eight feet (288') to
the point of beginning.
Containing 14.6 acres, more or less
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That all the property described in Section 1 hereof shall
be classed as lying in District "A-1", AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
