AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land situated in the South half (S/2) of Section Thirty-
five (35), Township Fourteen (14) South, and the Northwest Quarter
(NW/4) of Section Two (2), Township Fifteen (15) South, all in Range
Three (3) .lest of the 6th Principal Meridian, Saline County, Kansas,
more particularly described as follows:
1. Beginning at the northwest corner of said Northwest Quarter of
Section Two (2);
2. Thence southerly along the west line of said Northwest Quarter
(NW/4) to the southwest corner thereof;
3. Thence easterly along the south line of said Northwest Quarter
OWN to the southeast corner thereof;
4. Thence northerly along the east line of said Northwest Quarter
(NW/4) to the southwest corner of the South half of the Southeast
Quarter (S/2 SE/4) of said Section Thirty-five (35);
5. Thence easterly along the south line of said South half of the
Southeast Quarter (S/2 SE/4) to a point on the westerly right-of-
way line of Interstate Highway 135, said point being one thousand
five hundred seventy-six (1,576.0) feet west of the southeast
corner of said South half of the Southeast Quarter (S/2 SE/4);
6. Thence northerly at right angles along said right-of-way line,
forty-four (44.0) feet;
7. Thence easterly along said right-of-way line parallel to said
south line of the South half of the Southeast Quarter (S/2 SEA),
one hundred ten (110.0) feet;
8. Thence in a northeasterly direction along said right-of-way line,
six hundred eighty-two and eight tenths (682.8) feet to a point
one thousand two hundred seventy-six and one tenth (1,276.1) feet
west of the east line of said South half of the Southeast Quarter
(S/2 SE/4);
9. Thence northerly along said right-of-way line which, if extended,
intersects the north line of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of said
Section Thirty-five (35) at a point one thousand two hundred
seventy-six and six tenths (1,276.6) feet west of the northeast
corner of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4), to a point one thousand
three hundred seventy-nine (1,379) feet north of the south line
of said Section Thirty-five (35);
10. Thence westerly parallel to the south line of said Section Thirty-
five (35) to a point, said point being one thousand seven hundred
fifty (1,750) feet east of the west line of said Section Thirty-
five (35);
11. Thence northerly parallel to the west line of said Section Thirty-
five (35) to a point, said point being one thousand six hundred
twenty-nine (1,629) feet north of the south line thereof;
12. Thence westerly parallel to the south line of said Section Thirty-
five (35) to the west line thereof;
13. Thence southerly along the west line of said Section Thirty-five
(35) to the point of beginning.
(Also known as Schilling Manor)
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That all the property described in Section 1 hereof
shall be classed as lying in District ''R-1", SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
