AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land in the South half (S 1/2) of the North half (N 1/2) of
Section Nineteen (19), Township Fourteen (14) South, Range Two (2)
West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, being
more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
1. Beginning at a point that is the southeast corner of Lot One (1),
Block 9, Meyer Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas;
2. Thence westerly along the south lines of Lots One (1), Two (2),
Three (3) and Four (1E), Block Nine (9), and the south line of
Lots Nine (9), Eight (8), Seven (7), and Six (6), Block Three (3)
to the northeast corner of Lot Fourteen (14), Block Three (3),
said Meyer Addition;
3. Thence south along the east line of said Lot Fourteen (14) to the
north line of Meyer Drive;
4. Thence west along the north line of Meyer Drive and Meyer Drive
extended to the west line of Manchester Road;
5. Thence south along the west line of Manchester Road to the north
line of Republic Avenue;
6. Thence southwesterly along the north line of Republic Avenue to a
point two hundred fifty feet (250') east of the west line of said
Section Nineteen (19);
7. Thence south along a line two hundred fifty feet (250') east of
the west line of said Section Nineteen (19) to a point on the
north line of the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of said Section Nineteen
(19);
8. Thence east along the north line of the Southwest Quarter (SW/4)
of said Section Nineteen (19) to the southeast corner of Lot Four
(4), Block Eight (8), said Meyer Addition;
9. Thence northerly along east lines of Lot Four (4), Block Eight
(8); Lots One (1), Twenty-six (26), Twenty-seven (27), Twenty-
eight (28), Twenty-nine (29) and Thirty (30), Block Six (6); Lots
Eleven (11), Ten (10), Nine (9), Eight (8), and Seven (7), Block
Nine (9), all in said Meyer Addition to the point of beginning.
(Said tract containing 26.9 acres, more or less.)
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That all the property described in Section 1 hereof
shall be classed as lying in District ''R-1", SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
