AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
1. Beginning at a point on the south line of the South Half
(S/2) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Fourteen (14)
South, Range Two (2) West, that is four hundred thirty-
eight feet (438') west of the southeast corner of the
Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of said Section Nineteen (19);
2. Thence North zero degrees thirty-five minutes West
(N 00°35' W) a distance of seven hundred fifteen and
seven tenths feet (715.7');
3. Thence North eighty-seven degrees eight minutes East
(N 87008' E) a distance of four hundred forty-eight and
four tenths feet (448.4') to the east line of said
Southwest Quarter (SW/4);
4. Thence north a distance of five hundred eighty-seven feet
(5879 to the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter
(SE/4) of said Southwest Quarter (SW/4);
5. Thence east along the north line of the Southwest Quarter
(SW/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of said Section
Nineteen (19) a distance of seven hundred thirty-seven
feet (7379 to the west right-of-way line of the Flood
Control Dike;
6. Thence southwesterly to a point that is six hundred three
feet (603') south and six hundred fifty-six feet (656')
east of the northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter
(SW/4) of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4);
7. Thence southwesterly to a point that is six hundred
twenty-three feet (623') south and five hundred eighty-
six feet (586') east of the northwest corner of the
Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4);

the Smoky Hill River;
16. Thence westerly along the middle of the said old channel
to the west line of said Northeast Quarter (NE/4);
17. Thence north along said west line to the northwest corner
of said Northeast Quarter (NE/4);
18. Thence west along the south line of the Southwest Quarter
(SW/4) of said Section Nineteen (19) a distance of four
hundred thirty-eight feet (4381) to the point of beginning.
Said tract contains 29.5 acres, more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That all the property described in Section 1 hereof shall
be classed as lying in District "RS", RESIDENTIAL SUBURBAN.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
